Install the app
Add LoopAndGrid.com to your home screen
No app store needed. Add LoopAndGrid.com for a home-screen icon and full-screen play. Practice boards stay available offline after you have opened that set once.
After you add it
- A home-screen or desktop icon opens the site directly.
- The site opens in its own window without the browser toolbar.
- Your current puzzle, Daily streak, and theme stay saved in the same browser.
iPhone and iPad
Use Safari. Chrome and other browsers on iOS cannot add home-screen apps the same way.
- Open LoopAndGrid.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Keep the name as LoopAndGrid.com and then tap Add.
The icon lands on your home screen. Open it from there next time.
Android
Chrome is the easiest option. Other Chromium browsers follow similar steps.
- Open LoopAndGrid.com in Chrome.
- Tap the menu (three dots, usually top right).
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen. Wording varies by Chrome version.
- Confirm when asked.
Some phones also show a small install banner at the bottom on your first visit. It does the same thing.
Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Brave)
- Visit LoopAndGrid.com in your browser.
- Look for an install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow, or a plus inside a screen).
- Click it and choose Install.
LoopAndGrid.com opens in its own window and shows up in your applications list like a normal desktop app.
What works offline
A puzzle set must load once before you can reopen that set without a connection.
- Practice puzzles stay available offline after you have opened that set once.
- Daily puzzles follow today's date. They work offline after that day's board has been opened once.
- Share and feedback email links need a network connection.
If something looks stale after an update, close the app fully and open it again, or refresh once in the browser.
Removing it
On mobile, press and hold the icon, then delete it like any other app. Your saved puzzle progress stays in the browser until you clear site data.
On desktop, right-click the app icon in your dock or start menu and uninstall it. You can also remove it from your browser's installed-app settings.
