Pearls rules
How to play Pearls
Draw one loop through every pearl. At a white pearl, go straight, then turn at the next dot on at least one side. At a black pearl, turn, then go straight through the next dot on both sides. Empty dots are optional.
Worked example
Use Next to follow each deduction from the starting clues to the finished board.
Draw one loop between neighboring dots. At a black pearl, turn and continue straight through the next dot on both sides. At a white pearl, go straight and turn at the next dot on at least one side.
- Draw one loop between neighboring dots. At a black pearl, turn and continue straight through the next dot on both sides. At a white pearl, go straight and turn at the next dot on at least one side.
- The black pearl in the top-left corner can turn only right and down. Draw those first two segments.
- The black-pearl rule forces one more straight segment on each arm. Along the top, the loop then goes straight through the white pearl and turns at the top-right corner.
- The bottom-right black pearl works the same way: turn at the pearl and continue straight on both sides. The remaining segments join both paths into one closed loop.
Pearl rules
- The line forms one closed loop and visits every pearl. Empty dots are optional.
- White pearls must go straight through the pearl.
- The loop must turn at the next dot on at least one side of a white pearl.
- Black pearls must turn on the pearl.
- After a black pearl, the loop goes straight through the next dot on both sides.
Common mistake
A white pearl does not turn on the pearl. The line goes straight there and turns at the next dot on at least one side.
