Printable Arrows

Printable Arrows puzzles

Each Arrows clue looks along a row or column to the border. Shade cells so they never share an edge, and draw one loop through every open cell that is not a clue. A shade can force a loop line, and a loop line can force a shade.

Keeping count

How to play

Each number counts shaded cells along its line all the way to the border. Shaded cells cannot share an edge. Arrow cells stay unshaded and outside the loop. Draw one loop through every remaining open cell.

For a longer walkthrough, see the Arrows rules page.

Introducing the arrows

Start with a 0-arrow and follow its line to the border. Then show how each clear non-clue cell needs two loop exits. Hand out student sheets without the teacher file. More Arrows boards are available at LoopAndGrid.com after class.
