Printable Bridges
Printable Bridges puzzles
Connect numbered islands with straight bridges. Match every island's total. Bridges cannot cross, and all islands must join into one group.
Counting bridges on paper
- Write small remaining totals beside islands when the board gets busy.
- Draw single bridges first, then add the second line only when it is forced.
- Use an X in a lane when you know no bridge can go there.
How to play
Bridges run horizontally or vertically between islands. They never cross. Each island's number is the total number of bridges touching it, counting a double bridge twice. When you finish, every island joins into one group.
For a longer walkthrough, see the Bridges rules page.
Working in pairs
Ask partners to name the island total that forces each bridge. This makes it easier to compare methods without showing the whole answer. Keep the teacher file closed until everyone is ready to check. More Bridges boards are available at LoopAndGrid.com after class.
